Jerrryyy Spring Break!

So it's been really good since spring break has started.  After exams I went into a deep coma, and woke up a headed home.  The next day I had a race in the desert.  It was a bit disastrous but none the less it was amazing.  Initially I was supposed to run a 3 man 1/2 marathon relay but my team dropped out so I signed up for a 10k.  Like usual I was running around and not paying attention which resulted in a late start, well not so much late but rather unstretch, unwarmed, up, un-everything!  The whistle blew and my friend and I started running and immediately we were in front of the pack.  It was kind of strange being so far ahead, but I know it was a mistake when we past that first mile mark at 6:35!  She was running the relay so that was good, but I still have 5 more miles to go.  The second and part of the third mile came and went without any hesitation.  By the third mile I saw a sign that said 10K turn around, so I went to turn around but the woman standing there told me to keep going!  I was just confused colleen!

Trying to fundraise.
I asked three times in the midst of running by and she continued to insist it was the right way.  Determined to win and break my last time I kept going.  Then I saw the second leg station I was getting really worried because we were no where near where the start was.  So i kept going, 4 and 5 went by.  I saw the 6 mile mark with ballon so I ran as hard as I could full stride billy mills style, but when I got to the end and thought I was the winner, I found out the only thing I won were rights to a Totsie roll and a pack of salt.  Apparently the nonsensical woman at the sign was wrong and put me on the marathon track!  REALLY REALLY?  The guys at the station said "your doing great look what place your in, there are only 5 runners ahead of you!" I don't think he understood how exhausted I was, but because it was in the middle of the desert I had to keep going, at least until I could find life again.  I felt like Chevy Chase in National Lampoo's Vacation!  I finally made it to the next stop, the whole way thinking of ways to give that woman a piece of my mind.  Thankfully I never saw her again and after 10 miles I got a ride back.  But officially my time was the fastest but they are still debating if I am the winner... I'll let you know how it goes.

Later on I also had a chance to hang out with some old/new friends, which was fun.  We played basketball and danced a bit.  It was interesting because I rarely get a chance to let my hair down and enjoy my time.  Usually my head is in a book or glued to my notes.  It was super fun, it was a night of scheming, revenge, trickery, embarrassment, denial, and smelly couches... it was a night of AWESOME-NESS.  The next day I went to the PBR and drooled all over cowboys!

My nephew with 4 of the Brazilians.  I would let them hold me like that.
My dad always says that if I were a guy I would have been an amazing athlete, probably would have continued to play basketball in college, or would have been a professional bull rider.  Makes me wonder sometimes, now I'm just a scientist that has to clean homes for a living and just drool over the professional athletes... amazing what the difference of 1 chromosome.  But enough about genes my Biochem of Nucleic Acids exam is over!  Well its been only day 2 of Spring Break, I'll keep you all informed of what's happening next.

Amusing thought:
I sometimes have the mindset of both Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

I absolutely am inthralled by his talents as a musician.

Rolling in the Deep
Her voice amazes me, if I could have anyone in the world's voice it would be hers.

Boost in my Goose.

"Here I go again on my own..."

Well life has thrown many punches, but like a fighter I am taking the punches.
I made some very big choices in my life recently after I met with my family.
I've decided to toss my map out the window and withdraw my all my applications from graduate school.

I'll be moving home but I will be focusing on studying for the MCAT and a very special project you won't know about for quite sometime-- but be excited for me.  Any tears that my have fallen are only ones of joy :D

These days my heart is restless and my mind is curious.

In other news I decided to work on my balance and flexibility.  So I decided to do this move:
Just remember your head is holding you up, and don't try to move it because you might just fall on your coffee table and bleed for a few days.  Then you have to explain to everyone and anyone why you have a giant bandaid on top of a lumped bruise, but it does make for a good laugh :D.

Then this week was midterms week and well I did my best to study, but I couldn't do it on my own.  So I resorted to:
BAD idea.  My heart was racing I slept, not well, for 1 hour and crashed like a 6 chubby kids on a bicycle. I thought my heart was going to swell and burst; I could see my chest move up and down.  What I learned from this, don't trust anything with a rooster on it, and maybe if you can't handle 1/2 a tylenol don't take three energy supplements.

I met these people at school
I
Rick Fox, Diana Taurasi, and Kurt Warner.  I was hoping to find someone young and single so I wouldn't have to slave away.
And the BIGGER NEWS PIECES
My little sister got into The University Of Arizona!  I hope the best of luck to her, and lots of love.  She will do great things, and if I ever get jealous I can just squish her head.

AND...........

My Best friend is Pregant!!!!
We think it's a girl, but we shall see.  If you want to follow her "SOON TO BE TRENDY HIPSTER BLOG" Here you go!

And to finish my photo gallery:
I usually hate pictures of myself buttttt here is the "MYSPACER".

Example of UPs and DOWNs.

Down: I got hit by a car today, nothing serious.  Point stop driving when traffic stops and don't text while driving!

Up: Arctic Monkeys Song Brick By Brick
just came out!
I really love the sound, very DOORS "Hello I love You" sound. Plus I probably could dance like EDIE SEDGWICK to this song.

Fun Fact: I am about 1 inch away from standing on my hands and having my feet touch my head, meaning my dreams of joining the circus is possible.
Today is a beautiful day, walk on your hands,

Large and in charge...

is how I've been feeling!  But I'm getting excited about graduation.  My mom started making me a traditional dress but I told her I didn't like it so she said, "good it's not for you anyway."  So we have started searching for inspiration.  And I have found it!
I love this color and look for this dress.  It's from the Alberta Ferretti Fall 2011 collection!
I'm super picky so I'm glad I at least found inspiration!

And here is a new artist I've been pretty excited about too!
Hayes Carll: KMAG YOYO

and I just have to share this because I'm a sucker for covers, and this is one of my favorite songs

Hayes Carll: King of the Road (Cover)

In other news I think I did good on my biostatistics exam and some made told me I had nice legs (idk how i feel about the leg part).

I've the green light, I've got a little fight."

Everything is going to be just fine.

My world has turned upside down and inside in and inside out, but for every door that closes another one opens.  I truly believe the world works a certain way, and that everything will eventually work itself out if you give it your all.

I have not quite decided my new plan, but I have one that might be put into action.  I'm nervous, overwhelmed, scared, excited, and right down sick to my stomach with fear and joy.

This weekend I plan on talking to my family and seeing what step in life I want to take. I'm not too sure what my father will have to say but I guess he' going to have to deal with it because I am his daughter and not matter what that's something he can't take back.  Then my mom, I know that NO MATTER what she will always be there to support me with ceaseless love and with a hand to piece me back together.  All I know is that there are a few things I want to accomplish:

1. Spend more time with my family.
2. Help people.
3. Apply to medical school within the next 2 years/ Take the MCAT next August.
4. Work on my Navajo language.
5. Weave more.
6. Run more.
7. Do all the Crazy thing I have thought about but haven't had the time for.
8. Devout my life to something I believe in whole heartedly.

So if you couldn't tell I'm going home this weekend.  Also my basketball team is undefeated and I accidentally sat on a giant model of a piece of the male anatomy in class oops. Classic example of ups and downs.  hmmm but how about some tune-age?

I know I put this up already but it's not the same with out the video!
The Strokes
I am stoked about their CD!

A song that has been getting me though ever moment since my denial letter:
The Killers Read My Mind

Brandon Flowers is by far one of my favorite lyricists.
My favorite versus.
"I never really gave up on
Breakin' out of this two-star town
I got the green light
I got a little fight
I'm gonna turn this thing around"

[...]

"The good old days, the honest man;
The restless heart, the Promised Land
A subtle kiss that no one sees;
A broken wrist and a paid trapeze"

[...]

"Its funny how you just break down
Waitin' on some sign
I pull up to the front of your driveway
With magic soakin' my spine
"
