Well, let me be the first to say it has been a while since I have last had the opportunity to jot down my ideas. A while being the equivalent to approximately 9 months, oops. Think of all the things that can happen in 9 months, 1 year of school can be finished, 9 rent payments ($2,700), and a baby can be made and heaved out! But for
those of you who want to know what has been going on over the last couple months allow me to get you up to speed:
- School: 1 more semester of undergrad left, and a push to grad school!
- Boston: Harvard Medical School Internship.
- Went to New York for 38 Hours, and killed 6 things on my bucketlist
- Work: Same place, but I am in the process of getting another job<-- Funny story alert
- Occasional visits home
- Concerts: Gold Motel, Josh Turner, Clay Walker, Matt and Kim, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros. FYI Spoon, Black Keys, The Morning Benders, Surfer Blood, The Drums, Vampire Weekend, and Interpol never happend :( (You should listen to all these band, some are on my music playlist!)
Analytical Chem. Boo.
Nutritional Biochemistry. Yeah, that was 1/8 of the things I was tested on.
View of Harvard Medical school from my Vanderbuilt Dormitory room.
New York was a blur. ;)
And that's about it really but I guess its in the past, so let's move on to the present and future. Which brings me to my next point. With the new year coming up like Usain Bolt in the 100m dash, I've decided to start my scheming of a "grand-new-years-resolution-scheme". I love scheming, almost as much as I love making up cool hyphenated names. So here is the general idea and how it came about.
As some of you may know I have never been the type of gal to stay in one place to long, just the mentioning of "settlement" quite frankly makes my quiver. As a result I am hoping to move to California or Texas next semester; and I am just tickled about thought! Because of the new found excitement I have been scouring craigslist looking at places to live, even though I haven't even been excepted to a school (gives you and idea of how excited I am, pathetic I know). Unfortunately while I was getting my daily dose of craigslist, it hit me- My dream of getting out of this one horse town might not happen! I was only sad for about .0000434 seconds because it then occurred to me that regardless of my next move I can still make a "FRESH" start. And what better time to do it than now with the new year approaching? So as a start to my "FRESH" start, I decided to make a list of thing I hope to accomplish, that don't include school related things.
*Keep in mind that this is just a draft of the final.
List o' Stuff
- Get rid of some my cloths and start a new wardrobe.
- Start making my own clothing again.
- Make an investment in a cheap yet functional SLR camera- so I can help this pathetic blog.
- Take care of my skin.
- Work on my Navajo
- Learn 1 new english word a week<--Just keeping it real.
- Get a new job!
- Bike more often.
- More DIY projects
- Start using this blog to express my creativity in fashion and taste in music.
Well that's it for now, but I swear on womanhood that their WILL be more!
What I am digging now:
I really love the pattern on this shirt.
So what, I'm Native, sue me for liking this style!
It would make me feel like a rebel.
Not not the guy, his music! Bobby Long, AMAZING singer and song writer! Listen to Dead and Done on my music player or youtube him, well worth the 3.25 minutes of your life!
Well I hope you enjoyed my welcome back post to me, I should have some more good stuff to write about soon.
Love,
BG
