Today is a special day, at least for my family and I. My nephew Tyler's Birthday dinner is today, so I took the liberty of driving from Tucson back to Phoenix for a one night celebration! But before I got to see my family I had to go to work, boo! But when I got back to phoenix I was told to go to "LIN'S GRAND BUFFET". Boo again. If anyone knows me, they know I am not a huge fan of BUFFETs in general, not because I don't like eating, but because I feel like I am a failure when it comes to eating all-I-can-eat at all-you-can-eat-resturants (odd yes, the truth yes). It was great though because I felt like I was eating in a used car lot! There were giant balloons, giant spot lights, people trying to rip each other off, and best of all my family(probably part of the previously mentioned group of people)! I may get enough food, but I can never get enough of my family.
I always wondered about how I could feel so passionate and I guess it comes from where I get all my mannerisms, beliefs, and thoughts; my grandfather. Today is the 10 year mark since he passed away. It seems no matter where I go and what I do he is always there. Recently another one of my grandfathers passed, and at his funeral one of my aunts told me:
He's with you, he's with us, he's just resting.
It was these words that put my heart and head at ease. I never thought about it like that, but it makes sense. Everything I do is because of my grand-relatives, when I am down and don't think I can continue it is them (and George Clooney:]) I think about them to give me the strength to carry on. Sitting at my second plate topped with veggies, steamed rice, jello, and vegetarian sushi I felt a sense of warmth, (hopefully it wasn't attributed from my first plate of broccoli). In that instant I remembered last night's dream, my grandpa was in it. It was a younger version of him, but unfortunately I can't remember what he said, but it was so wonderful to see him and sit and talk with him as an adult. It was his gift to me. It all happened in a blink, but when my mind came back to the dinner table I looked over at my nephew Jonah, and I felt like he saw what I saw. Maybe, maybe not, but I think it was a blessing that happened in a blink of time.
The point of this shpeel is to not just tell you about my over emotional dinner in a used parking lot styled chinese buffet, but to let everyone know that beauty and blessings go hand in hand and come in different forms, giving a gift, receiving a gift, or just being a witness to the exchange. With that, because my blog is about everything I see, hence the name B.L.Gene: Everything Seen, here is a recap of what I have seen, not a great collection but I hope it holds you over!

Away from my tunnel vision of being a mommy, a wife, and my everything is great attitude. Thank you sis!
